BBTools was born in Lugano from a simple idea: good work starts with a good bench. We select workbenches and equipment for goldsmiths, jewelers, stone setters and watchmakers, with particular attention to people opening their own atelier or working in a small workshop.
What is BBTools
BBTools is a Swiss online store based in Lugano, specializing in professional equipment for jewelry making and watchmaking. We are a dealer of MPF Italia workbenches, including the Katia, Karat, Julia, Sophie and Time models, and we offer tools and accessories for the bench. We mainly serve young goldsmiths, small ateliers, craft workshops and schools: people who need reliable tools without the costs of large suppliers. We ship to Switzerland and to several European countries, with clear prices and VAT and duties explained before you buy. Many benches are made to order: we always state the real delivery times, so you can plan your work without surprises.
A passion for the finished piece
It all starts with a love for the finished piece: a polished ring, a clean setting, a watch that runs again. Behind each one is a bench where someone has spent hours.
We noticed that new and small ateliers often get little attention. They find catalogs designed for large companies, prices that are hard to reach and nobody asking what they really need. BBTools was created for them: to listen to them and find the right solution together.
Fair prices, high quality
We keep prices low without giving up quality thanks to three choices:
- Few brands, well chosen. We work with manufacturers whose products we know, selecting the best.
- Technology and automation. Orders, stock, invoices and customs documents are handled automatically. Less manual work means lower costs, which are not passed on to you.
- Innovation at the bench. We design solutions that fit you.
We listen to your workshop
Every atelier is different: the space, the type of work, the number of workstations. Before recommending a bench, we ask how you work. If you are looking for something you can't find in the catalog, write to us: our customers' requests help us choose what to add.
Who is behind BBTools
BBTools was founded and is run by Benedetto Blasi. You can find his professional background on his LinkedIn profile.
When he is not working on BBTools, Benedetto is in the mountains: climbing, trekking, skiing and cycling. A passion that has more in common with the goldsmith's craft than you might think: precision, patience and equipment you can rely on.
